This week at Microsoft Ignite, the introduction of the DP-600 certification was announced, which will be available in January 2024. This article delves into the new exam "DP-600: Implementing Analytics Solutions Using Microsoft Fabric (beta)" and compares it to its predecessor, the DP-500.

👉 The DP-600 certification has a new focus, the key data engineering and analytics professionals within the Microsoft Fabric ecosystem. This role bridges the gap between traditional Business Intelligence (BI) developers or ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) developers and data engineers, focusing less on data visualization and more on delivering clean, well-structured data for reporting, with greater emphasis on data modeling and performance tuning.

👉 Meanwhile, the DP-500: Azure Enterprise Data Analyst Associate, focuses primarily on Power BI, Azure Synapse Analytics, Microsoft Purview, and It is more oriented to data visualization and Power BI professionals designing enterprise-level solutions.
